About Me and Career Goals

My future career goals after obtaining my bachelor's degree are to become an event manager or a human resource manager within the sports industry due to the inspiration and opportunities that were gained through industry hours. I was always interested in sports since playing basketball in middle school with my friends, which has always enabled me to make connections with others. Also, with my interest through learning more about event management in Foundations of Event and Entertainment Management, this has helped me realize that my calling is through both sports and events, as well as maintaining the skills that I have learned in hospitality throughout my professional career. Through this, I can be able to offer support to help students discover their purpose within the professional industry; which will enable them to build towards their success naturally through connecting with others.

Career Interest

Through exploring their options and focusing on the experiences that will work for their professional career, this will lead them in the right direction. After discovering their career interest, they can inspire others to do the same, which will help them to follow their dreams to become successful.

Work-Life Balance

Maintaining a consistent work-life schedule can be complicated for us due to working towards making an enjoyable experience for others; as well as being available for ourselves to do what we love to do. This will encourage others to practice self-care, while contributing within the workforce.

The challenge of life, I have found, is to build a resume that doesn't simply tell a story about what you want to be, but it's a story about who you want to be.
